Open 7 days a week, Braidie's Tavern is a hotel local to Bendigo, owned and operated by former train driver Bob Braidie and his partner Margaret. With great food, a family-friendly atmosphere, large log fire, juke-box, pool table, bar meals and bistro, Braidie's has that something extra, and its own unique charm.

Braidie's bistro is open 6 days a week. Chef Trevena Taylor serves delicious counter meals during lunch and dinner times every day except Monday. If you are looking for somewhere quiet but fun to celebrate an occasion or enjoy a great meal around Bendigo, we highly recommend Braidie's Tavern as a place to relax and enjoy yourself.

Located in Strathfieldsaye on the outskirts of Bendigo, Braidie's railway-theme is a tribute to the history of train travel in Victoria. The Braidie's Tavern bar is called "GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN" in memory of all train drivers who have been killed on the job.

 
A little about us

We have been operating for over 8 years and have currently re invented the look and feel of the Tavern and our menu with a great new Executive Chef, Trev Taylor who has over 7 years experience.

Trev has brought a new diverse menu with the introduction of breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

With this introduction we are also available all day for meals on the weekends.
From 9.00am - 8:30pm Saturday
And 9.00am - 8.00pm Sunday.

The Beer Garden is officially open and its available for private functions and is great safe environment to have the kids relax enjoy breakfast, lunch or tea
